  Live-In Care
Live-In Care

The provision of care in the home enables a long-term relationship to develop where one-to-one support is available at all times - a residential care home simply could not achieve this level of care. The relationship of trust, the degree of personalisation and the continuity of care exceeds anything even the very best residential alternative can offer. Most of our clients choose live-in care, but we do provide daily care from 7-12 consecutive hours a day or a respite and/or rehabilitation service following hospital discharge.

Physiotherapy
  Physiotherapy

The Medseva Group works in partnership with Physio comes to you Ltd to provide the following physiotherapy and alternative therapy services that aim to enhance the life of elderly people living in their own homes.

  Falls prevention programmes
Falls prevention programmes

Physio comes to you has designed a programme specifically for The Medseva Group clients to reduce their risk of falling in their homes. Following an in-depth assessment a tailored programme is developed to address any possible contributors to falls. The physiotherapist will work with your professional carer to increase mobility, flexibility and strength to reduce the risk of falling. A course of 5 individual sessions is recommended (including assessment) - although this can be reduced if requested.

Neurological physiotherapy
  Neurological physiotherapy

Neurological Physiotherapists have many techniques to support those who are suffering from neurological disorders, including a stroke or Parkinson’s. Treatments include stretching, massage and acupuncture. Rehabilitation exercises may also be used, including walking, wheelchair practice, balance and movement control and exercises to help improve posture, stretch out muscle tightness/spasm and stiff joints, improving function and relieving pain.

  Massage
Massage

Massage can be used to help elderly people following an injury or surgery by relieving pain, breaking down scar tissue and reducing swelling. Massage is also very effective at promoting relaxation and improving sense of overall wellbeing..

Manual therapy
  Manual therapy

Following injury to the joints whether sprains or fractures, manual therapy can help restore movement and function.

  Exercise
Exercise

Research has shown that elderly people are just as capable of building muscle as the young. Physiotherapists are well qualified in assessing needs and designing an individualised exercise programme to help clients build muscle. By keeping muscles strong it helps to keep life as independent as possible, whilst improving mobility and prevents falls.

Manual therapy
  Programmes for osteoporotic clients

Physiotherapists are able to assess the osteopenic or osteoporotic client and devise an individualised exercise programme to help combat the physical signs of osteoporosis. This includes strengthening around the joints which are prone to becoming osteoporotic and working on posture to help prevent the spinal curvature that can occur secondary to osteoporosis.
